A 12-year-old girl named Sun discovers that the tale of the “ostrich child lost in the desert” told to her by her grandfather since she was a child is not a fairy tale, but a true story. Faced with this mystery, and thirsting for answers, she sets off into the Sahara desert in search of the truth: who was her grandfather really, and who was this little boy? She discovers the incredible story of Hadara, the little tribal child raised by ostriches in the Saharan immensity. Born into a nomadic family, Hadara was lost in the desert during a sandstorm at the age of 2. Doomed to certain death, the little boy is taken in by a group of ostriches! They help him survive for 10 years before he is found and returned to his family.
