Biographie
Holger Franke erhielt eine Gesangsausbildung an der Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden und studierte ab 1976 an der Hochschule für Schauspielkunst „Ernst Busch“ Berlin. Drei Jahre später war er für insgesamt 14 Inszenierungen an den Bühnen von Magdeburg engagiert und spielte ab 1984 am Theater in Wittenberg.
Ab 1985 spielte Holger Franke in 15 Folgen der Krimiserie Polizeiruf 110 und führte 1999 für zehn Folgen der Daily-Soap Verbotene Liebe im Ersten Regie. In der Krimiserie Wolffs Revier ist er in der zweiten Episode als Hotelangestellter sichtbar, wie auch in der Alarm für Cobra 11 Folge Geheimnisvolle Macht als Beamter vom LKA (Gehricke). Von Beginn der RTL-Serie Unter uns am 28. November 1994 bis zum 27. November 2009 spielte er 15 Jahre lang Wolfgang Weigel, den Bäckereibesitzer der Schillerallee 10 in Köln. Sein Vertrag wurde nicht verlängert. Von 2010 bis 2012 war Franke in der Nebenrolle des Chauffeurs Kurt Schiller bei Verbotene Liebe zu sehen.
Holger Franke lebt in Monheim am Rhein, ist geschieden und hat zwei Söhne und eine Tochter. (Wikipedia)
